Week ending 30 September 2018
Its been a busy few weeks and we have been to the US and back!
Before leaving India to celebrate Winston and Brynne's wedding, we joined the Malviya Nagar missionaries for their District Meeting and afterwards lunch at Rimpys. Here we are with mission driver Anil and Elders Miles, Andrews,Cook, Johnson, Nelli and Kartheek.
We left Delhi just after midnight on Friday, September 14, had short layover in Paris and arrived in Salt Lake City just after noon on Friday, September 14. We had some serious jet lag to overcome but being with the children and grandchildren gave us superhuman energy. Philip and his family drove into Provo on Tuesday evening.
The cousins were so happy to be together. Henry, Elliott and Gray enjoyed playing in the mornings before Gray went to school.
On Wednesday evening we had a "Cousin's Birthday Party" and celebrated Henry, Gray and Elliott's September birthdays and Anders and Oliver's October ones with swimming, spaghetti carbonara and a cake from Provo Bakery. Reuben and Kallan arrived on Wednesday night.
Here are our beautiful grandsons in the kurta pajamas we brought from Delhi. (Little Elliott preferred his swimsuit.)
Thursday afternoon we met at the Hansen home in Spanish Fork to assemble the wedding bouquets and boutonnieres. Here are Brynne's sister-in-law, her nephew (Tamara's son), Gena, Briana, her mom Allison, Brynne and her sister Tamara feeling satisfied with their good work.
Winston was the last to arrive on Thursday night. He and his brothers went fishing on the Provo River early Friday morning. It was a sort of Hurst version of a bachelor party.
Friday night we had a lovely dinner with family and friends. Philip's beautiful family sat with Uncle Winston and Aunt Cathy.
Kallan and Reuben enjoyed the meal with Sage and family.
We feel very blessed to have been with all of our loved ones for a few days and especially grateful for the covenants that bind us in love.
