Week Ending May 12

This week took us from the local Biodiversity Park where Jeanette walks nearly every morning to the Ganges (Ganga) River, Dehradun, rishikesh and hardiwar (site of the Kumbha Mela)

Good morning, New Delhi.  The national bird greets Jeanette on her morning walk.  What a beautiful world Heavenly Father created for us.

Farewell pizza at Leo's for our Nepalese friend, Ishwore, who is obeying the familial call and practise of returning to Nepal to care for his aging parents.

BYU Nursing Visit

Ten nursing students and two professors from the BYU nursing program are in India for three weeks.  They are working with the Divya Prem Sewa Mission clinic and schools.  The BYU group serves the community by dressing the wounds of those who have had leprosy and teaching their children personal hygiene and basic health practises.

Dressing the wounds resulting from having had leprosy.

Neither the BYU students nor the children could get enough of each other.

The BYU group sponsored a community clean-up project which was enthusiastically participated in by the local children and some adults.

Happy Mothers Day

Visit to the Forestry Museum - a relic left over from the British.

Beautiful building but displays look like they have been untouched since 1947!
