Week Ending June 24
Tuesday we made our regular visit to the Udayan home and had a game night. The girls loved the "Win it in a Minute" activities.
Thursday I went to the movies to see The Secret Life of Pets 2 with 20 of my friends, mostly Primary kids from the Malviya Nagar Ward. It was so fun to be with them.

Friday we flew to Bangalore and held a training for the new PA Council at the Indira Nagar Ward building. The Martins who serve in the Mission Office joined us as well as other priesthood leaders and members. This is only about half of the people we had at the meeting. It was a good session. The people of Bangalore are excited to have a temple coming to the city. The PA Council consisting of Daniel Dmichael, Chair, A. Krishnan, Opinion Leader Assistant and Sheeba Harish, Media Assistant are experienced and talented and will do great things.
After the meeting we went to a pretty good Mexican Restaurant (a rarity in this and most other countries) called Chinita. For those of you who don't know, idli is a savory steamed rice cake and a south Indian staple.
It was a first experience with Mexican food for Brothers Arumugam (left) and Krishnan (right). They did pretty well although Brother Krishnan really didn't like the guacamole.
Sunday I helped with music time in Primary held, as usual in room 204 of the Park Residence Hotel. This photo is from last week. This week we had only Angel, the cutie in the pink dress, and Joshua, the little boy seated on the very back right corner of the bed (he is a jumper). This week I was able to help teach Angle, age 10, about the Atonement of Jesus Christ through Primary songs. First we sang, "Jesus is Risen" and I explained about the crucifixion and atonement (with help from interpreters). Then we sang "As I have Loved You" and we talked about what Jesus asks of us and that love is the first and greatest commandment. Then we sang "Keep the Commandments" and explained how commandments keep us safe and happy and show our Savior's love for us. It was sweet.
After Primary Grant and I held the first Temple Preparation lesson with the Pitampura Branch President, President Sood and his wife. Their RM daughter Ritu came also to translate (thank goodness), along with Deepanshu Yadav who has received a call to serve in the Bangalore Mission and leaves in August. We had a great discussion about the Plan of Salvation with lots of good questions about the Fall. President Sood is an especially involved learner which made it fun. Deepanshu came home with us and later that evening we had dinner and another Temple Prep class at our place with Deepanshu (above right) and Arun Kaithwas (left) from the Dwarka Ward who is leaving for the Bangalore Mission next month.
